Massage after a Procedure or Surgery?
Unknown to many, massage is one of the preferred courses of action after surgery or minimally invasive procedures. Massage, through the use of specialized techniques,
has been proven to increase the flow of blood and to reduce swelling in the area, reduce scar tissue and Capsular Compression.
Procedures which benefit from Massage.
Just about any procedure can benefit from massage. Below is a list of a few

What should I expect?
Specialized
vibration and Lymphatic drainage techniques will be applied. These techniques
are applied VERY LIGHTLY.
Will there be pain during the massage?
The goal of this massage is not to have any pain.
However, because the area could be sensitive to the touch there might be some slight discomfort.
How many sessions are required?
This will be determined by your Doctor or Therapist. As a rule of thumb you can should expect at least 3 sessions per week for 2 weeks.
How long are the sessions?
This will be determined by your Doctor or Therapist but, generally speaking between
5 - 15 minutes per session.
Should
I come in for a consultation before the procedure?
Consultations are free however, from a clinical standpoint they are not necessary. What should I bring with me?
Please bring with you any instructions, compression garments,
or other items.In addition please have your Doctor fill out the back of this form or write instructions on a prescription.Do
not take pain medicine at least 2 hours before arriving if at all possible.However, if pain medicine is necessary please do
not hesitate to take it.
